The waist belt is too large, and I have had a little trouble getting the pack to rest on my pack the right way. Otherwise, it's a great deal, and I would recommend it to anyone not needing to carry it for more that a few days max at a time. Very well built!

Comments about High Sierra Sentinel 65 Backpack:

Used the pack for the first time last week on a four day trip. Plenty of room for gear but the waist band is huge. I'm 6'2 165lbs with a 32" waist and I had it cinched almost as tight as I could get it. It worked OK but would be better for a heavier person, I think. The small outside rear back pocket isn't particularly functional except for a map or rain gear perhaps, tho' it might work well to hold a climbing rope between it and the pack itself. (shame it cannot be detached). Overall great value

Comments about High Sierra Sentinel 65 Backpack:

Went on a 5 Day Trip in the Grand Canyon and bought this pack specifically for the trip. For 65L it did the trick. My only complaints (which were not many) were the adjustments sometimes slipped on the back adjustment and I wish there were 1 more outside compartment. These were minor as this pack shined for all 5 days

Comments about High Sierra Sentinel 65 Backpack:

I purchased this pack a little over a month ago and used it for the first time this past weekend. My friend and I went hiking/camping and the pack performed well. It has plenty of space to hold enough supplies for a 3-4 day trip (assuming you don't need a clean pair of jeans/shorts for EVERY day). I was able to pack everything I needed and still had room to spare. I haven't purchased a single person, lightweight tent yet, so I lashed the 3-4 person dome tent I own to the loops on the bottom, and it held up just fine. It is really adjustable and comfortable. The belt strap is a little generous (i have a 33in waist, and had to tighten it up quite a bit) but that was my only concern, which isn't really even a concern to me. Overall, it's an excellent pack at a great price. Buy it.
