My wife and I hike 7-10 miles almost every weekend. She bought the exact pack (except hers is blue/gray) last year and loved it. I like to hike in sleeveless T's and my light bike pack straps always rub into my underarm area. I tried hers one day for a bit and had to get one. This pack has great staps, well padded and designed to curve in away from my underarms. No more rubbing. I'm 5'6" so I bought the womens' version built for a shorter torso. The great design distributes the weight to the right places. It has 2 easy to use open side pockets, perfect for carrying extra water bottles for our 2 Dobermans. It has all the right straps and belts to make for a comfortable but solid fit. I can even run with it when I need to without everything banging around on me. I highly recommend this pack.
