      I love the daystar model...this was an upgrade for the smaller camelbak I previously bought. It's small, but have enough room for my own food/water and a light sweater when I'm outdoor. One con about this backpack is that it's NOT waterproof, and the first hike I did with this backpack, I was caught in a thunderstorm. They do sale rain cover for the pack so I will be using that next time.

        I mostly use this backpack for day hikes and hiking 14'ers in Colorado. It's perfect size for me. There's lots of room for gear and additional water bottles/gatorade if you're worried about running out of water. I love the side waterbottle pockets and they help to keep the space in the backpack available for other items. It's very comfortable and lightweight!

            Bought this pack for my daughter's upcoming environmental systems study trip to Hawaii. She will do several day long hikes and a 17-mile sea kayaking. This pack fits the bill. It has a good sized main compartment that can fit her lunch, light rain jacket, windbreaker and more. The smaller front pocket can hold cell phone, pens, keys, sunscreen, etc. It's light weight and the shoulder straps are soft and comfortable. She will take out the bladder and use it as her carry on 'purse' when flying. The only thing that I wish it had is a MP3/sunglasses pocket like the Helena model. Very happy with this pack.
