Comments about Coghlan's C-Tech Time/Temp Digital Dangler:

I was looking for a readable not too expensive thermometer for hiking. This fits the bill. The display has worked down to zero. I haven't been out in anything colder yet. It is easier to read than the small glass\alcohol thermometers. The time piece works well also but that really wasn't my interest in purchasing it. It seems to be well constructed. I accidentally dropped it from about four feet directly to the concrete floor with no damage at all. I obviously don't recommend that you try that. The enclosed paper says that it is water resistant. I can see that it would be resistant but it obviously should not go for a swim. It's a great little gadget. I guess you could wear it around your neck but I have attached it to my backpack strap. At the price you can't go wrong. Sunny Sports got it to me in a couple of days. Very good service.
