I realize that most people probably buy this item for sporting purposes, but I bought it for my husband for different reasons. My husband is a farmer, and he has been doing shop work in a building that doesn't have adequate lighting. I gave him this headlamp for Christmas, and he loves it! It's so much easier for him to work on equipment now that he has two free hands. Also, it has made it safer for him to go check grain bins at night, because he doesn't have to hold a flashlight while he...'s climbing ladders. It is very bright, and has a very long battery life. I recommend this product :)
