Is the pocket clear on both sides or is every photo a selfie?

Only clear on one side, however if your phone is compatible in design, there is a window on the opposite side for the main camera lens. Mine takes pictures great through it.

While the pouch is fairly "waterproof", I'm not sure I'd submerse it any longer than a quick "dunk". Firstly, there is no "arm band" like a runner's sleeve so not sure how you'd wear it and secondly, there is a Ziploc-like seal but beyond that there is only a single-fold with Velcro holding, unlike a multi-fold dry-sac, so this is why I doubt it would survive full emersion. I used this on a canoe trip and stayed above-water most of the time. I took pictures through the plastic which still came out great. Think this is the extent of protection this product really offers...but overall very satisfied with the purchase.
