Bought these to extend the lake paddle season in our sea kayaks. We added a pair of thin wool mittens under the shells and the combination works well and hands stay dry from paddle drip, splash and dips. Bulk is minimal so our paddle grip is still comfortable. All previous shells have not been "waterproof" when push came to shove so we are hopeful.

I searched the Internet for months looking for an over mitt that had a description that had a chance at fitting over my size XL arc'teryx beta ar gloves. I had a pair of OR over mitts from about 15 years ago that I needed to replace. These are a little tight over my gloves but are just big enough to fit & I still have dexterity & range of motion with them on.
