Slick styling but mostly because the closures are cords and Velcro rather than zipper. I'm buying these for my wife who would wear them in the surf, where sand would foul any zipper, even the stout ones that serve as closures on other neoprene booties.

I'm buying these booties yet again! My first pair was stolen by the Gaman (trickster spirits) in Bali--or by a person low enough to steal water shoes off someone's bungalow porch--on my last week there. That pair was 3-4 years old and had many river/kayaking trips on them but held up great to all the use. These booties are super grippy on wet slippery rocks and durable, probably saved me from falling and rolling down rapids on several occasions. I kayak in Nor-Cal a lot, these are a must have :)
