Yes they are waterproof. I have worn them for a morning and afternoon with lunch break and my feet have stayed dry. Even when the temperatures were above freezing.

Not sure if they are 100% waterproof but my socks have yet to get wet while wearing them to do basic things like shovel the driveway and hanging around the ski slopes. As long as you aren't doing anything too extreme I think that you should be fine.

This boot runs small and very snug so keep that in mind when ordering. Not sure if the snug is due to warmth or being too narrow. My son has narrow feet and the medium width was still too tight. The price was great but will have to return or exchange.
