I've recently joined our local Search and Rescue K9 unit, and needed a pack for survival gear. This one is perfect for me, fits comfortably and I feel I can carry a heavy load (lots of dog water!) for a long search without strain. The orange color is a plus as it keeps me visible to other members of my team. I have a feeling that cooling groove is going to be important this summer!

Used this pack on a couple of solo one nighters. Strapped sleeping bag,tent and pad on outside. Carried personal stove,water filter mess kit, change of clothes, small first aid kit, food. Not much more room. VERY comfortable. Lots of weight on shoulders...wait, adjust the many straps and weight was balanced. Ignore other reviews nagalene bottle does fit in outside pocket. Also has pockets for need to get to items. Dog carries his own, thank the Lord.

Used on overnight once. Sufficient room. I am 54 and small 5'2" woman.Found very comfortable although I need to learn not to lean forward or weight goes from hips to shoulders. Nagalene bottle fit in side pocket fine with room for a couple of small items despite what other reviewers said.(Maybe NF reads reviews too)I hiked in soft rain, everything stayed dry. Lots of loops on pack to tie off tent and sleeping pad. Pack and pockets stretch out pretty well.
