It will be cinched all the way. I bought the pack for my 17 yr old son who is a 33-34 waist and he only has a small bit of adjustment left . Absolutely loves the pack though, great product!

Waist size has nothing to do with it. It's a height thing. Visit your local shop and get fitted before you buy. REI hekped me out for free...

Yes- I bought it for my son who is almost identical size. Have to watch the waist size though, he is a 33-34 waist and it is maxed at that. If you are smaller waist than that it may not cinch in enough for you. Great pack though- he loves it and Sunny Sports has the best price!
