Pamela B My daughter wears a womens small in a columbia jacket style similar to this. What size The North Face Denali Jacket would she wear? Her height is 5'1"and she weighs a 130 lbs. She has a very muscular build.
Shopper If I fit perfectly in a Girls North Face Medium (is a tad small), but can fit alright in a large, will I fit in a women's XS and will it look good? I checked the sizing charts and my sizing's were just a few inches off. The reason why I want the women's jacket is because the colors in my opinion are better.
HEATHER A It depends on the kind of fit you are looking for. The women's sizes are a bit roomier through the chest and the arms are a bit longer, The fit just isnt the same as the youth sizes. If you want a looser fit, then it should be fine. If you have a store near you that carries north face jackets, i would recommed you go and try a women's xs on in the store.
Renee P What is meant by "R Vaporous"? The North Face Jacket I'm interested in doesn't show TNF after the R and none of the other colors say Vaporous

Lynda N how do the sizes run? What actual Womans size would an XL be?
HEATHER A I think the sizes run a bit bigger than usual. I bought an xs but it is still quite roomy throughout the body. I would say that if you normally wear an XL, it will fit just fine.
TRAVIS B I am 6'0" and 225lbs, muscular build. I wear a men's large. Fits perfect.

TRAVIS B I bought a woman who has your same dimensions a medium. She loved it.
HEATHER A I am 5'7" and 120 lbs. and I wear the size small. One warning though, I am also long waisted and long limbed and the arms are a bit too short and the width is a bit to wide even in the small size. It's obvious that this coat was made for the average 5'4" woman at 145 lbs. Still looks nice though, and very warm!

Pacific A Would this jacket be good for mild bay area winters and to wear under a ski jacket?
DEZZIRAEE M Definitely good for these specific conditions. Not something I recommend to wear alone in extreme cold, but it makes a great layering piece.

Zack W The most close to White is the White Heather; it has the same color for the top and the rest of the jacket, but it has a shade of grey in it.
