I spent the night in this bag at 19 degrees and fairly high humidity, it was cold. Like most bags the temp rating is off a bit. I'd say it's good down to 30 degrees. It is roomy and was the largest and lightest bag I could find. It should work wonderfully for 3-season backpacking purposes. I'm 6'-2" and can be streched out inside the bag with the top drawstring pulled.

Bought the regular bag and I thought it was short for me I like to cover my head some in colder weather so my wife keep that one so I then bought the long size and it was perfect. Main use will be in Colorado on annual elk hunts

We used two of these sleeping bags for a trip to Grover Hot Springs near Markleeville, CA. They were absolutely wonderful. I don't think the temp dropped below 40F, but these bags are rated for 20F, and I think they would be true to that. My husband is 6ft 1in and so we bought two of the long bags so that we could zip them together if we wanted to. The stuff sack was a little bit small for the long bags. It also would have been nice for them to include a storage bag for home, since it's not good to keep it stored in the stuff sack. Overall, I am more than satisfied.
