At first we purchased a women's long, which is about the same dimensions as a regular bag. Though warmer, the women's long proved to be bulkier and heavier than we wanted. In the end we were happier with the regular bag and so far it has worked great. Packs small and tight and not too heavy for a synthetic bag.

This sleeping bag provides good insulation and is also light. I did even camp in winter and could manage with this sleeping bag. On top of it, it is very soft and feels great in it.

whats the difference with the zippers?

it's a matter of preference...you can either zip up on the left or right side. Since I'm right handed, I chose the left side because that feels more comfortable zipping up when I'm inside it.
This is a great synthetic pack! I love mine :)

Not sure I totally understand you're question, but the zippers are very draft proof and dew proof. They are about the same quality you would find on high end rain coats that often advertise themselves as waterproof zippers.

It has to do with whether you are right-handed or left-handed. If you are right-handed, then the bag will be easier to zip up if it is on the left-side of the sleeping bag since it is easier to move your arm across your body inside the bag when zipping.

In my experience, it only mates with another Cat's Meow bag with the opposite-side zipper ... and even despite that, I bought a new Cat's Meow to mate with a style I bought five years before and they don't mate.

I have not tried to zip it together with another bag, but I believe that it will zip together with another Cat's Meow.

No, this bag is not designed for that application. Some of the the rectangular shaped sleeping bags can be joined together. I highly recommend the Cat's Meow sleeping bag. I used it for 3 weeks in the mountains of Wyoming and it is lightweight, easy to pack, and kept me warm at 20F.

Though I have not yet tried doing that, I was told by a store salesman that it should be able to zip with any other North Face bag.
