The Mountainsmith Travel Trunk Duffel Bag can handle tons of weight it will handle skiing, climbing, hiking, biking and travel gear where ever you want to take it. It is made of 600-denier nylon Kodra fabric with 1000-denier Kodra reinforcements, internal zippered pocket and elastic rigging for quickly stashing items. The Duffel bag comes with 2 compression straps, two end haul handles, includes a removable anti-slip shoulder strap and a wrapped haul handle. As a bonus, the Travel Trunk offers no shortage of accessory pockets, including an internal zippered pocket and a zippered front panel pocket. The Mountainsmith Travel Trunk Duffel Bag is compatible with the Mountainsmith Strapette harness. This is a heavy-duty bag. You can carry relatively heavy stuff and it will hold up well. The fabric is heavy, the zipper is heavy and it has compression straps to relieve stress from the zipper.

Shopper Does this bag have lockable zippers?

DAVID H The two zipper pulls have holes on the ends that would be just big enough for a lock with a shackle diameter of 1/8". You could use a bigger lock if you cut off the nylon webbing used as zipper pulls. I use a small TSA lock that fits with the pull tabs in place.

SRIRAM B Yes it does. You can lock them on the metal part of the zipper with a slim TSA lock or on the nylon loops with a heavier lock.

JOSHUA H It has large zippers, but the holes at the end are squared off and the codura pull fills up most of it. The best way to lock it would be to purchase a thin cable lock.

CESAR A Yes, you can lock the main compartment YKK zippers. It's a tight fit w/ the zipper pulls but doable.

CHAD T If the question is, do the zipper rings have enough room for cable or small locks? Then yes they do. There is not an anchor loop on either side of the bag for the locks to anchor to one side for added protection but cable locks could run through the plastic shoulder strap anchor. This is a high quality bag and the zippers are strong and well designed.
