Shopper Can I pack this in a suitcase?
RHYS W I bought this for my brother and already sent it to him so I can't measure it now. However, it would probably fit in a 26" suitcase (or larger) if placed at an angle. I liked the looks of this one and wished I had bought one for myself. Hope this helps.
I just now called my brother and he says it is 26" (66cm) long collapsed.
TRAVIS W It's about 28" long when closed and does not flex or bend, so if any inside dimension of your luggage is 28", you're ok. I took this with me on a trip through Grand Canyon and it fit in my duffel with no problems.
RON M This Mountainsmith Trekker FX Monopod Trekking Pole seems sturdy & well made, certainly worth the money. The collapsed lenght is rather long though. I doubt it would fit in any carry-on bag, but it might fit (diagonally) in a checked bag... it "just" fits in mine. The collapsed length seems to be more like 28 inches rather than the 26 inches listed. Removing the top knob to expose the camera mount bolt drops the length to 27 inches.
JOHN S Yes, if you have a full sized case. Won't fit a carrying bag
THOMAS C Yes, it will fit sideways in a suitcase that fits in a plane cabin, and easily in the length of a bigger suitcase. You can take out the "round-ish" knob at the end to make it shorter. overall a great pull/monopod!
DOUGLAS C The pole when total collapsed measures 28 inches long, so if your suitcase is longer than that, i would say yes. This pole for the money is a good buy as i have used it and abused it and have not been dissapointed. I just bought a second one.
DAVE C I am nowhere it at the moment but the compacted length should answer your question. I can say for the price, it is an exceptional value if a monopod is the necessity !
