The old-style caps are still (by far) my favorite. They attached to carabiners nicely, they weigh less and they are smaller than the new ones. Old-school cool.

Two as Gifts to my Granddaughter & her Husband, Two For Me because these MSR Fuel Bottle Screw In Tops Are 'NOT' their 'Child Safety' Type Tops, I'm 61 Yr Old Hiker + MSR's "Mountain Safety Research" Manufacturer's Name Is Molded Into It's Round Handle, their older ones are not! Thank You MSR! :)

The child safe cap that comes with the new MSR fuel bottles is like most child safe devises. It's easier to watch the kids than to deal with the fuel mist burping, don't know if it's closed, will it leak on all my stuff contraption. If you have ever used the original MSR fuel caps then you know it was a bad fix for a nonproblem.
