This is one of the lightest most versitile daypacks i've used.If you use a waterbottle or bladder it can do it .Plenty of mesh pockets and the lid pocket works nice for essentials that you may need in a hurry.Good for light loads as shoulder straps are only lightly padded but still comfy. all in all a great pack .
When you want an ultra lightweight pack chock full of features perfect for sides hikes or just general day hiking, choose the Marmot Ultra Kompressor Pack. Combining comfort with technical features that make this pack ultra versatile, the Ultra Kompressor Pack has a roomy hood with a lid pocket that has a mesh pocket with a key clip and three points of compression straps that let you get just the right load adjustment. Does this pack fold up into a pouch? If so what are the pouch dimensions?
LUIS R
This bag doesn't fold into a pouch. It lies pretty flat when empty but that's the best that it will do.
MAKSYM S
No, it doesn't fold.
JASON K
Not that I'm aware it doesn't. If you want a comparable back pack that does, then check out THE NORTH FACE'S FLYWEIGHT PACK. Or the NORTH FACE FLYWEIGHT RUCKSACK. The flyweight rucksack will be the closet in size to the Marmot Kompressor.
I have the north face flyweight rucksack and its very good. I prefer it over my Marmot Kompressoer every time.
STEPHEN A
This pack does not fold into a pouch. If you remove the fly sheet you can fold it pretty small, even with the lightly padded shoulder straps.
TIM W
Not really... it can be rolled up into the top zipper opening pretty easily if you remove the closed cell foam pad. If you leave the pad in? You have to take your time and roll it up pretty tight(extra minute of effort...)
CRAIG A
No it doesn't fold up into a pouch.
However, It is an incredible pack. Quality construction and comfortable fit. I own dozens of packs and this one is my go to pack for day hikes.
DANIEL S

Is this pack waterproof?
STEPHEN A
no
KENNETH P
fabric seems to be waterproof, seams are not. nice ultra lite pack. straps have minimal padding. great for a dayhike,or a childs overnite trip. padded compartment for laptop. keep weight to a mininum. satisified customer.
JASON K
It's not totally "waterproof" in the sense you could drop it in a creek and it wouldn't fill with water. However, it will hold up in a rainstorm and keep the contents pretty dry as long as it's fully closed up and zipped. It's a great little pack and roomier than it looks. Try the Flash 18 from REI if you want something just a little smaller....For the size and features, along with durability, this Marmot pack rocks!

According to the features it has a hydration sleeve, but according to the pictures I don't see how a hydration bladder could fit in this pack. Where would it go and how many litres reservoir?
STEPHEN A
The sleeve is the same pocket that holds the removable closed-cell foam flysheet. There is also a hanging clip that is compatible with most bladders, as well as a port for the hose.
CANDACE Y
There's a padded "pocket/sleeve" inside the pack in the back for the hydration bag. It's pretty large. Easily big enough for a 2 liter bladder.
Probably even up to 3 liters would fit.
LUIS R
I haven't experimented much with a bladder yet but there is a hook on the inside of the pack where a bladder can be hanged. There's a divider inside that could be used to separate the bladder from anything else that is put in the pack. I'm not to sure as to the actual amount or size that could be used but it looks like a decent amount of space for one.
MAKSYM S
Hydration sleeve is where it typically is (right behind your back) but the access to the sleeve is from the inside of the pack - not the most convenient design as you can't refill it without taking the bladder out and can't easily take it out from the full pack. It has a hook to keep the bladder from sliding down further than necessary. The slits for the tube is right behind the hanging loop between the shoulder straps. I've used it with 2-liter bladder from my camelback, you probably will have a hard time fitting bigger bladder. But with these reservations I can wholeheartedly recommend the pack - light, extremely comfortable and adjustable, right volume/configuration for my needs and very reasonable price
