Right side zippers. No, they can't be zipped together.

When I bought my two marmot bags, I bought a regular (right zip) for my wife and a long (left zip) for myself. They do zip together nicely and provides plenty of room for two medium sized people. We really like our Trestle sleeping bags for camping.

They have both Left and Right zippers. Don't be fooled by the shoulder zipper. They have 1 full zipper and the other one is for comfort that lets you have more shoulder room or let more air in if the temperature is warm.
I have a Right opening zipper and my wife has a left (we have to same bag, both Regulars) and we can mate them just fine. They do not go all the way down so you have individual foot room, but otherwise you are linked in. A feature I enjoy when the sleeping bags are linked is the extra shoulder zipper. Open that up and you have plenty of room.
A disclaimer: I do not know if/how well Tall and Regular bags link together. I can only imagine (given the 3/4 zipper) that they would be just fine and that you would just have less travel on the long bag because of the distance on the other bag. But, like I said i do not know.
Another word: I have an older version and my wife's is 2014 and they mate just fine. I am assuming you would buy them together, but I have heard horror stories and so I thought I would address the issue.

We ordered one left side zipper one right side zipper. zipped together perfectly. Great sleeping bags. We love them. Good snuggling bags.
