First they use real humanely obtained down - from dead birds used for food - not very painfully plucked life geese. Next noticeably more down per jacket than Columbia and Eddie Bauer down jackets - very warm. My arms are long and this jacket fits me very well. Love the material and color. I wear it when I'm working and I'm amazed that I have no stains as I have on my other jackets. Not sure if it's stain proofed but it works that way. Very well made. I've gotten compliments on it's looks. I... stuff it in a small sack and use it as a pillow when traveling. Yay Marmot! I have a 36 year old Marmot down sleeping bag that still works well. I look forward to seeing how long this jacket lasts.
This jacket is great and the fit is perfect. The Marmot jacket is a classic black puffy jacket without all of the bulk for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend it.
