About the size: generally wearing the size M (US) / L (EU) , which size have i to buy not to have a small jacket? Thank you

i am a typical athletic male 5'8", 38" chest (im in usa), i normally fit M, or get a L to fit roomy or over other layers. my ambler is a US "L" ("jpn XL")- label does not differentiate for eu.
it is HUGE! i can wear every item i own under it and it is still too large.
the sizing is already made oversize to fit over layers

Ciao from Chile... got this jacket in M... it's pretty tight which is good since air below the jacket means cold. It's very good for cold, but in my case, M size, I need to use just a thin baselayer below to feel good. I don't think you need much more clothes beneath. Just a layer-1 and maybe a thin layer-2 and you're good to go... if you want to use more clothes underneath, buy a size bigger, but of course, arms will be longer, waist will be longer, etc. Anyway with this jacket you don't need much clothes next-to-skin... it's so warm! I'm 5'9" tall and weigh 165 pounds. I bought a U.S. Large, and it's roomy and comfortable. I can wear it over a t-shirt, or layer under it. I LOVE this jacket. It weighs almost nothing, is very packable, keeps the wind out and keeps me warm. It's the best winter parka I've ever owned.

I have this amazing jacket as I live in Minneapolis and it’s frixkin cold here. The jacket fits perfect to size. I am 5’8” and 160 pounds and I wear a medium and purchased a medium. So I’d say order to your typical size and it will fit perfectly, however if you want something slightly larger go to a large US.
