These are great light weight pants that are both comfortable, as well as versatile. They are Extremely breathable. The only downside, is the clip that fastens them, which could be bigger. Another downside is that they need to have drawstrings on the lower pant legs.

Good comfortable pants. Not too light weight, some hiking pants feel like pajamas and I hate that. My only gripe is the back pockets have a velcro closure. Other than that they are a good buy, let's face it The North Face is charging over $100 for comparable pants...I don't see the need to spend it.

Best outdoor and traveling pant I have ever owend. I have four pairs that have passed the test of time. Durable, quick drying, shed light rain reasonably, light-weight (but not to light-weight), comfortable, and a relaxed fit for all day comfort. I use them for everything from backpacking to under-layer in ice fishing. People complain about no cargo pockets; cargo pockets are bulky and awkward. The hand pockets use REAL material on the inside; no clingy mesh. Quality construction. Large pockets on front and back. Colors are good. Sythentic material breaths well and resists odor.

Cons: In the wash I once had the belt get pulled half-way out. Not a big deal. The pant legs are not color coded or marked in any way, so you have to look closely at the zipper to make sure they are going on the proper leg.

The medium seems just a little big for a 32" waist but not too bad. I'm glad I ordered the long though (I'm 6' 2" and wear a 32x34 in jeans if that helps anyone else).

I definitely agree with other reviewers regarding the belt. It tends to twist and can start to hurt your hips a little with a pack on. It's a bit of a hassle to try to straighten out. I'm planning to replace the belt with one that's just a little more stiff to alleviate the problem.

Still, I have enjoyed these pants. They're tough, they dry quickly, they zip/unzip easily, and they don't get too hot. All in all, I'm pleased with them with the exception of the belt issue.
