A WONDERFUL ITEM

By Bergy

These are one of the lightest fitness/walking poles on the market. All of the walking poles are designed to do the same thing, but like most things there are differences. These are extremely light, very easy to adjust and with the interchangable tips for different surfaces they work well in all conditions. There are a lot cheaper but I doubt any better. - - -

Finally found my perfect exercise!

By Bobbi e.

I have osteoporosis of the spine, and it's great for building bone density and strengthening back muscles. They give me the utmost benefit in my daily walks. I can use them all four seasons.

Do you love travelling and Nordic walking? If so, the Traveller Carbon pole is your perfect companion. This three-part pole has a length of just 62 cm when retracted, making sure that it fits inside all cases or backpacks. It features the reliable Super Lock 2 locking system.

The two-component grip, made from natural cork, sits firmly in the hand. Thanks to the Trigger Shark 2.0 system, you can remove the Trigger Shark Frame Strap Mesh quickly from the pole, and can be ready for a quick photo or store the grip in your backpack. If required, you can attach the Powergrip Pad for a more stable hold on asphalt surfaces. Whether you prefer roads or trails, with the Traveller Carbon pole, no route is too long.

Questions about this item:

Km K  Are these the same as the ones currently listed on the Leki website? They have the same model number but the picture and description is different.
Steve L  From what we are seeing they are the same.
Kathryn K  Hi this looks like a Nordic Carbon Traveller pole Is it? kat
ERIK D  Yes, it is a carbon pole for Nordic walking.
Roberta D  Does this product break down into sections for easier travel?
ERIK D  When I first got these poles, they really aggravated my carpal tunnel. I have found the secret is to secure the straps VERY tightly so they don't move your wrist when you put pressure down on them. Also, lengthen the poles so the pole angle is 90 degrees to your arm. This is important, because if it is not 90 degrees you are pushing the wrist up with every stroke which is what aggravates the carpal tunnel. Make sure your wrists are rotated so the palm of your hand is perpendicular to the ground, or slightly tilted (top of the palm away from the body). Also, the back of your hand should be in a straight line with your arm. Try this out, and do just a very little bit at a time, gradually adding a little more distance and a little more pressure. Ease yourself in to it and give those muscles a chance to adapt. This has helped me tremendously, and I can actually walk with the poles now without inflaming my carpal tunnel. If you find a strap that puts the pressure of the stroke on the ulna and leaves the wrist out of it, let me know.
linda c  i am looking for straps to hold my hands and wrist with the Leki hiking poles I have, they have a strap but its not enough for me. I have carpal tunnel so i need more support. is there a way to get the straps for this particular walking pole?
Zack W  No it does not. Enjoy it! Zack.
