I have replaced all of my guylines with this, I can't tell you how many times I or someone else has wrecked my tent, rain cover, and tarp setups by tripping over my old lines in the dark. This prevents that. The reflective line is highly visible in the dark. While on the AT, there were a couple of times that we had small tent "cities" set up near shelters. Great strong and lightweight guyline!

Great lightweight guyline for my tarp/bug net combo. Being strong and lightweight allows me to bring more line on my backpacking adventures. Found out about this line on Andrew Skurka's website.

If you spend a lot of time camping outdoors in a tent, you should add the Kelty Triptease Lightline to your gear. There will always be situations you may encounter outside, where a lightweight line is needed to attach things. This lightline is durable and tightly woven and is strong enough for any tent set up in the wild. The cord is reflective for added safety and security, so you can be seen at night in the woods. The cord is ideally designed as a guy out cord, to attach to tents and portable shades securely. To use it, simply attach the line through the guy out loops of the tent and then attach it to stakes or to the nearest tree for extra support. Shopper can you cut this rope without it unwinding?

LARRY W sure, no problem. just singe the ends.

DONALD S Yes, it is woven not twisted. This mean eventually it will fray and start to unravel. I've always melted the cut ends. Been using this for quite a while and it is great stuff.

JAMES H I have not tried, but would burn the end similar to other synthetic material ropes.

DAVID K Just use a lighter to melt the ends.

DON M Yes, BUT you will have to melt the cut ends with a match or lighter to avoid fraying.

SPENCER H Yes, though I would recommend "fusing" (melting) the cut end with a lighter to prevent gradual fraying.

W ELLISON J When cut, Lightline holds together like any synthetic rope would. To keep it from fraying with use, you'll need to melt the end in a flame (cig lighter, etc), and when it cools it shouldn't unwind.
