Bee H I'm trying to get a good daypack for some trekking I'll be doing in Peru along the Inca Trail next month. I need to know how comfortable the bag is and if it has some kind of waistbelt the help with support. The description says that it has "Removable webbing waistbelt" but I just need to be sure. Also, how's the quality? Thanks!
MARIA M The backpack is lightweight and the shoulder straps are heavily padded. It feels comfortable, too. However, about the removable webbing waistbelt, not exactly sure what they meant. The pack has a waistbelt with a fastener if you want to strap it onto your waist. If you don't want to wear the waistbelt, then just unfasten it. But it is in no way removable. Also, it's only a webbing strap. It's not padded.
ALYSSA B I don't usually use the waistbelt so I don't know how much extra support it provides. It is relatively thin (the same material that is used to tighten the shoulder straps) but I can imagine it would be enough to take some of the weight off your shoulders. The overall quality of the pack is great. Very comfortable; I would highly recommend it. Enjoy your adventures in Peru!
AMY H I've only had this bag for about 2 months and it has mostly served as an airline carry-on but so far I really like it. It is comfortable -- lots of padding along the back and shoulder straps. There is a webbed waist belt (no padding), though I don't see how it would be removable. Looks pretty permanent to me. There are chest straps as well and they are on sliders so they are easily adjustable. Quality seems to be good, but as I mentioned, it hasn't seen much use yet so I can't say for sure. Good luck with your pack search and have a great trek!
