Shopper It says that there is front panel access, does that mean that you can get to the main compartment from the front of the bag or just into the front small pocket?

You can access the main compartment from the top of the bag, like all other bags of this type, and from the front zipper compartment. If you open the front zipper compartment there will be a piece of mesh fabric with a zipper down the middle. Just unzip the zipper and you can get to the main compartment of the pack just fine. Its actually very convenient, allowing you to get at belongings in the middle of the pack without disrupting your packing scheme.

BRIAN N The first part of your question is correct. You can gain access to the main compartment through the front zipper.
MICHAEL R You can't get to main compartment through the front panel, only through top and bottom of the bag.
CHRISTOPHER Z I believe you can open that big front panel you see and then unzip another piece of fabric to get to the main body of the pack.
