Kelty's websiite shows a much darker colored looking product, no options. Is this an older model of Kelty's? ____________ if so what year?_____ and have they changed the product in other ways as well since, thickness, reinforced diff. at guy out area's, etc.

I bought mine in 2009 and it is dark blue with off white lettering. Otherwise I can't see any difference. It may be that they just change colors every so often. I have used mine 7 times at the Boundary Water Canoe Area and it has worked great - no problems. We usually have 6-8 people on our trips so the size is nice as it fits all of us under it when it rains. It's also nice to keep gear under it so you have more room in your tent.

I believe the pictures are just for contrast. I have a 9 and a 16 They. both are blue and cream
panels. Tie down are great and well made. With the adjustable poles it makes great shade. Warning, it is not waterproof, but does repel rain in a small shower. Used mine last week for 6
days. Had a lot of neighbor campers under my shade. It's well worth buying...

I bought the 9 first for hammock shelter and because I was very satisfied with it, I bought the 16 about a year later for general shelter/shade. They are pretty much identical other than size. I have no reservations about recommending these products or buying as gifts.

I purchased my Noah 16 in 2008. I have not seen a newer version so I cannot make a comparison. What I can tell you is that I would purchase this again. I have used mine many times in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. It has withstood many storms and windy days. My BWCA buddy bought one once he saw mine. Takes it to BWCA 3-4 times a year for 7-10days at a time. We both LOVE IT. Still going strong.

Uh... I bought mine a little over a year ago and it is the lighter white coloring. I had initially hoped it would serve as a great sun shelter on the beach in Florida. However, even when very well staked down, it was close to ripping to shreds. We have used it several times while camping and it has helped create an excellent oasis from rain.

I can not tell you about the color options, but I can tell you that this is the best tarp for the money.I love the one I have, its durability, ease of set up,and performance continue to amaze me.Mine is going on ten years old now and still looks great and I believe it will give many more years of service,I can only wish that I were that durable.......

I have purchased 4 of the 16 x 16 Kelty Noah tarps over the past two years and they are all light gray. Great tarps, all are the same thickness and the have reinforcement at all tie-down locations. I am now looking for a 12 x 12 for a smaller tent cover.
You cannot go wrong with this tarp!!!
Hope this helps.
