I needed a very lightweight day pack due to weight restrictions while traveling in Africa for a couple of weeks and 10 flights. This product did the trick. Lightweight but sturdy nylon. Has a main compartment meant for a laptop but I used to store a folder with my itinerary & important documents (I also packed a book, journal, point & shoot camera, a couple of zip locks with meds, fleece jacket & a few more items), a smaller compartment for storage & easy access to some smaller essentials (also has some pen holders), and then an even smaller compartment for small, flat items. The only trouble I had was the zipper snagged a few times on the material that covers the zipper.
