Shopper is this big enough for a 3 person tent with a packed size of 23"x6" plus the sleeping bag?
JANET P I think you would be OK with this pack and that both items would fit inside. There are straps on the outside that could certainliy hold the tent as well. I have been pretty happy with this pack. The firends I hike with all have more expensive, smaller and heavier North Face packs and this one has worked fine for me - the flipside is that I am not hardocre into overnight hiking so it does not get used or abused that often.
RICHARD M all will fit, but you will need to unzip the sleeping bag compartment separator.
other wise the tent will stick out the top of the pack.
good luck.
PETER S Yes it can, but I usually packed my poles on the outside of the pack, separate from my tent so I had more internal room.
MICHAEL R If that's all you plan to carry, then definitely. This pack is surprisingly large when you expand the top collar. I would "stuff" the tent/fly and the sleeping bag directly into the pack, rather than pack them in their individual stuff sacks first. They'll be softer and easier to compress and might leave some room for other items. Be careful not to overload, as the hip belt is adequate, but not made for heavy loads. Hope this is helpful.
DAVID W I have packed a 26" x 7" tent plus sleeping bag and gear for a weekend camping trip. It worked great
Zack W The pack dimensions are 27 x 14 x 7.5 in. You should be fine. Enjoy it! Zack.
