This mug is definitely multipurpose. Great for eating/drinking out of as well as rehydrating food on the move. It's very stable (which to me is important when dealing with very hot food/beverage), and the handle works well even when using gloved hands. I added a cozy from fortybelow and this mug now keeps my coffee hot for a very long time. This is a big mug folks, don't mistake it for a little measuring cup. Overall a great product!

This is a great bowl/mug. It is large enough that you can fit a large portion and the lid is tight so you can save leftovers without worry of leakage. Much better than the Nalgene version which lid sometimes tightens in a way that makes it impossible to remove. The handle, which unfortunately can eventually break, is key when you are in a freezing tent and trying to eat with gloves on. The bowl itself is pretty bulletproof. The guy who gave this one star obviously didn't read the specs and gave it a negative review when he made the mistake. Just because he found out another mug has measurment markings does not make this bowl a 1 star product. If you want a 32 oz bowl this one is industry standard.

I bought this to use mainly as a measuring cup for cooking and boiling water but when i received it, it was very large and much larger than I expected. Also, I realized that my GSI halulite ketalist bowls and cups had measuring markers on them. The only use I could see for this is family camping trips and definitely not backpacking.
