Comments about GSI Outdoors Hard Anodized Dutch Oven - 12 in.:
I got the 10", 12", and 14" dutch ovens the day before going to a meet-up in Capitol Reef NP Thanksgivings Day Camp. They all did the job (cooked the grub). Others as well as I were happy about how light they were. There wasn't much carbon build up even w/o soaping the ovens. The only real problem was burning food on the bottom. I liked the oven so much I cooked a 2nd meal of chicken & veggies with just a bit of spicey rum for extra flavor. If anyone knows how to not burn the food on the bottom please pass along the secret. Go buy a set & Cook-On.

Fool-Proof Pot is a Winner!
By eaglegreen

The pot arrived only days before I was entering a Dutch Oven Cook-Off for the very first time--and I won First Prize in the Tenderfoot division! I built a wood fire on the ground, rather than use coals. I gave the pot a stir and quarter turn every 15 min. or so, and my SW Riblets, including juniper berries and dark chocolate, was a winner! I love the pot, and am particularly pleased with its light weight for my 'getting older' shoulders and keeping the weight light in a pop-up camper. THANK YOU, SunnySports!! I'm a happy camper.

GSI Outdoors Hard Anodized Dutch Oven
First time I ever did Dutch Oven cooking I used this pot and entered "tenderfoot" division. I won first place, for a l pot entry. Only needed a small fire, heats very quick, also cools off quick, and cleanup is a breeze! The only 'not so great' thing about it is that the lid isn't flat, nor is the underside smooth hard anodized. These two changes would make it much more versatile--it could then cook pancakes on the underside of lid. I was disappointed in this design flaw. Otherwise it was a Great pot!!
