Sturdy, compact and stylish

By Major G.

I needed a chair to take with me on my deployment to Iraq. Last time I went, I had the standard folding chair and it took up too much room. Another Soldier in my unit had one of these at Ft. Bragg and I knew I needed one before we left. I[...]The chair is more comfortable than the other types and with its compact design for storage makes it ideal for packing up or just carrying around to meetings. In the military, you never know where you'll need a chair and this one is so portable you ca...

Best Camping Chair Ever

By ALLEN S.

Bought this chair to have a comfortable place to sit after a long day on the motorcycle. It is very small and light for packing on a bike. But then it opens to be a campers Barkolounger, complete with cup holders built in and various pockets for stuff. Did I say it sets up in 10 seconds? As easy a those cheap stools and as fast. Wow! It was 5 times the chair that I was hoping for. I bought another for any guest that may be along. I did put it through the paces as my friends call me a "test...

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Larrie C  HOW DO YOU OPEN IT ?
SARA R  Pull on the legs to extend them. Put legs on the ground. Flip open the back of the chair then spread the arms apart. Hope that helps!
CYNTHIA W  The directions are on the packaging. If you do not have the original package try online on You Tube. Hope this was helpful.
KENNETH J  Pull it out of the bag, lift up the arms, then use your foot to step on the leg brace and lift using the arm rest. once fully extended swing open the chair and lift the backrest. if you look on the y-tube searching pico arm chair you will find a video that shows exactly how to open the chair. The reverse to close it back up.
JEAN M  I pull mine out of the bag and then put my feet on the base of the chair (make sure you are standing on both pieces of the base). Pull straight up using the seat. Once you have done that it's easy - flip up the back and pull the seat apart and push down. The trick is to make sure you always pull evenly so that nothing bends or kinks since it is a telescoping chair.
Mollie F  Did anyone buy the xpress chair and were disappointed it didn't sit as comfortably as the PICO chair?
MATTHEW O  I purchased two of the Pico Telescoping Arm Chairs and both have been well used over the past few years. The chairs have a nice design that was confusing at first, but easy to use after I figured out how to open them. Unfortunately, one of the chairs has broken, but I still use the other one. The chair is comfortable for a portable chair and I have sat in it for several hours at a time on many occasions. It eventually becomes uncomfortable after a long sitting, but it is still better than the ground or a bench.
ALLEN S  I have bought two of the Pico chairs. I orginaly bought these for the compactness, as I use them when motorcycle camping. I now use them all the time. They are sturdy and well built. I bought mine in the spring of 09 and to date no problems. The only thing I might even be able to find fault with would be the price. But then again, you get what you pay for. I recomend these chairs to anyone that sees them.
Mollie F  Thanks for your recommendation - guess we'll bite the bullet and but these for our RV.
ALLEN S  We had just purchased a toy hauler. We have looked at lots of rv chairs. Our Pico chairs are the answer for our rv too.
ROBERT C  I have used this chair for two years at car shows and find it comfortable and like the fact that it folds small enough to fit 2 of them in the back of a Corvette. Hope this helps you.
Mollie F  Thanks for your quick reply - we are RV'rs and several fellow campers seem to have them or something like them around their RV. Will explore further...
Shopper  What is the diference between this chair and the GCI Xpress chair?
SunnySports S  GCI actually makes a couple of chair called Xpress, but I am going to assume you are asking about the Xpress lounger. There are a couple of differences between the two the Xpress Lounger's Folded dimensions (L x W x D) 17.5 x 16.5 x 2.5 in. Unfolded dimensions (H x W x D) 33 x 23.3 x 17.5 in. While the Pico has the following. Folded dimensions (L x W x D) 20 x 12 x 3.75 inches Unfolded dimensions (H x W x D) 34 x 17 x 22 inches There are also slight differences in the design, but they both have the same weight limit of 25 lbs and they both weigh the same 9 lbs. The Pico does fold a little smaller. They also both have pockets on eight armrest for storage. I hope that helps. Stay safe and have fun out there! Neal
