Better late than never on a review.... I bought 2 of these stadium seats back in 2006 to use for football games that have metal bench seats. Fast forward to 2022, and both chairs are still being used. They provide great support and keep your butt warm if attending a cold night game in Colorado. Not a huge deal, and its to be expected after 16 years. The buckle underneath doesn't slide as easy and the elastic on the back storage is stretched out. BO D  yes and no. it works great on firm or hard surface the best. it does work on dirt to, but tends to kind of rocks itself I to the ground...hope it helps, bo
TAMMY H  I guess if you had to, it would work, probably best in the sand at the beach with a towel under your legs.
MARY J  Yes. It would give you back support, and a "clean" surface to sit on, but that is about it. Works best as a bleecher seat.
JEREMY E  They can but might not be the most comfortable option for a seat. Work well on the bleachers.
CHARLES T  Yes, this seat can be used for sitting on the ground. However, it will fall over when you get up as it depends on either weight or strapping to a bench to hold it in place. A beach chair might be a better choice if sitting on the ground is the primary use intended for this purchase.
THOMAS M  Yes but I wouldn't because there is a hinge that could get damaged. Crazy Creek and others akes simply and lightweight chairs for sitting on the ground. They consist of two pads with adjustable straps on the side and a swath of material that acts like a hinge.
MICHAEL M  It's probably not ideal for that, bleachers work best.

LYNN R  Yes, they are great. We have been using them for several years and I highly recommend them.

SARA B  I do think it has enough back support. This is the only stadium seat I've ever had so I can't really compare it to anything else. It does have a good thick cushion and it is lightweight and easy to carry. The only downside might be that it doesn't have arm rests.
