The Fox 40 Marine Rope & Float is a 50' (15m) in case someone needs to be rescued. The rope is made from extra-fine polypropylene filaments woven into high-density braid and is softer and easier to handle than conventional rope. Rope was lab tested to 900 lbs (408kg) breaking point. The float made of expanded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for maximum toughness, weather-resistance and long service life. Bright yellow rope and orange float for great visibility in the water.

kelly h  How do you throw it? Where do you hold on and should the rope be coiled?
ELIZABETH C  If you a throwing to someone in the water, I would definitely throw the float end. Coiled? Maybe stashed as neatly as possible. I use this rope to tie my kayak up at a dock when I am disembarking. For rescue, this rope is used as a tow line to the 2nd disabled boat - for me, a kayak. For rescuing people overboard a kayak, I use other devices, like a paddle float and/or a stirrup. This kind of rope is required to be on board on commercial waters such as the Hudson River.
