Kamran L Is this a great tent?
JEREMY N This tent has many great features including a fully sealed bottom. I have used it in very rainy and windy conditions and stayed dry. It's major downfall is that the tent poles are extremely weak. I broke the first one after my first camping trip and broke the other several years later. Both of these instances were under stressful environmental conditions so it depends on intended use.
TOM Y it is a good tent for the price.
RANDY C Yes it is avery good tent. I has plenty of room for 2 peopl and having the door on either side is great. It is lightwieight, well made, and easy and fast to set up. You cannot beat the value. Eureka ia a good manufacturer too.
PATRICIA L I have and still use my tent, I have used my tent in the blazing heat, and all-night rain. It is extremely easy to set up and take down. The tent breathes with zipper panels in the right places. It is easy to hike in and has a convenient packing back. My tent has been most useful to me in the rain, frankly I thought the tent wouldn't be able to withstand the rains, but it has, I have had pouring rain all-night, and still woke up in the morning bone-dry. It is a tent for two, my northface sleeping bag x 2 fits side by side with room on both sides and between, top and at foot. I love the convenient pocket pouch included that clips on at the top of the tent for quick easy reach and find. My guy is 6'3, and can sit up comfortably, I am 5'3, this tent would be big to me if I used it by myself.
CAROLYN D This is a great little tent....we have bought several of these for use in our Boy Scout Troop and they easily sleep two grown boys with a little room to spare. Have great ventilation, easy set up and take down. Recommend using a footprint underneath even though the floors are "leakproof". We have camped through all season's in these tents for a few years and they have held up well and we usually camp at least once every month! I would recommend.
MICHAEL J Yes... Great for weekend & backpacking Camping. Lightweight, Durable and dependable.
GARY Z Its a good tent, easy to setup and no leakage issues. The only problem I've had is in high wind conditions (20+ knots) on open beaches, the sides cave in against you, the poles bend easy but did not break. But under normal camping conditions in a wooded area its fine, I'd recommend it.
RAYMOND C I love this tent. Very easy to set up and never got wet in it. The only drawback is that there is only 1 door. But, There is a window in the back so you get great ventilation. The weak point that I found was in size of poles over the door and window. I broke one of these. Johnson Outdoor Products was very quick to replace it. They never asked if it was under warranty. They just sent me a new one.
FRANCOISE M I bought mine in 2007. That was my first tent. I really like it. It is easy to set up. I had no problem even if I had never mount a tent before. The hooded fly is a nice addition. The inside is practical with pockets and hooks.
DAN G Yes! I have used this tent about 40 nights, and I haven't had any issues. I've used the tent in hot (100+ degrees) and cold (20 degrees) weather.
The tent is very easy to set up and take down, and it easily fits in the bag. I am usually alone in the tent, so I have plenty of room. It would be a snug fit for two people plus gear.
DIETZ F I bought this tent for may son who is now an Eagle Scout. He used it every campout and was delighted with the tent and only had one issue during the past 2 years of service. One of the pole sections broke off in the metal holder so we had to saw it off but it is still servicable. Kids are hard on stuff but it would be better if the poles were a little more durable.
I would buy it again or possibly the Apex as it has 2 doors to enter the tent which would be a little better when 2 people are sleeping in the tent.
