Better Than Tents 2x The Price

By xxrider

Bought this Tent after much research on tent materials.Took it a 30 day motorcycle trip Into the Rockies, Glacier, and Cascades. Temps ranged from 20 deg. to 80 deg. Rain, Snow, Wind, this Tent never failed me.While I watched 400 dollar so called Mountain Tents leak and flex sideways in 40 mph winds this tent stood strong and never leaked. It was however 6 or 10oz more and worth every bit of it.

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

Shopper  does this tent require a footprint?
S. Winston C  Not necessary.
FRANK M  "Require" would be a bit strong... I tend to use a foot-print on all my tents, but that's just me. I use one on this tent though it's certainly no less durable than other 3-season tents in my experience. Tyvek works great in this application though so can just about any other light-weight ground/moisture barrier. HTH,
JOSHUA S  I have not used one but I would recommend it. The bottom is relatively thick but I still feel as though it could easily tear on sticks, etc. Rain hasn't been an issue and it's held up well. Hope this helps.
PATT H  I use a piece of painters plastic underneath to protect the bottom. Don't have to. This tent had been great.
SETH F  I think it is a good idea, I have used this tent for a few years now and it is awesome, but the fabric is quite thin, to avoid the risk of any rocks or sticks making a hole, a footprint is a must. I have one and it is easy to use.
CHAD M  I used a 8'x10' light weight tarp for added protection, roll the corners in. It's a great cheap solution for a foot print.
MR. B  I have the same tent and plastic footprint. A plastic footprint is better for any tents to protect your tent floor and also to cut on moisture. I am very satisfied with this product.
