Shopper Do the mesh windows/doors also also have an interior flap that can be completely closed with a zipper to block out the elements without having to use the rain tarp?

Unfortunately the item that shipped was the wrong tent.
After I returned the wrong item I went to REI and purchased the Marmot Limelight, because I was supposed to go camping the following weekend with my son. I have been pleased with the Marmot 3 man Limelight, although it's more like a 2 1/2 man tent. It however is not a 4 season tent. Sorry I could not answer your question in regards to the Eureka. It appears to be a fine tent and the one I had chosen as well.
GRAY Y The question makes no sense. The rain tarp is what you use to "block out the elements". Regarding the mesh windows/doors; they do have a tent material (nylon?) which does zip closed over the mesh portion and it is not designed to keep the "elements" out. Yes, it is darker and more wind resistant, but not water resistant You can open one or the other, the mesh window/door or the nylon material.
ROBERT G The flaps do close but the rain fly is still required for protection against the elements. This is one of the best tents you'll ever buy.
KRISTOPHER K In regards to eureka assault outfitter 4 tent as to whether or not the door and windows have full nylon zipper flaps they do..however the roof has a couple of vents that I cannot seem to recall if they have closures as well since I never use my tent without the rain fly due to my.camping in the High Sierra's of California and the occasional rogue rain storm we experience.. either way the rain fly is quite simple and has color coded tabs to make sure you get the correct orientation to the front main door and rear smaller opening..hope this information is of use to you and have a great time outdoors...

KEVIN M The tent does have independent water resistant zipper doors separate from the rain fly. However water resistant doors are on the inside of the tent so the bug mesh will be on the outside (when the rain fly is used this allows for great ventilation. I have always used the rain fly. The rain fly is super fast to put up and give me a place to keep the gear in one of the two vestibules.
I?m a very avid outdoors man and this my favorite tent of all time. Over the last 5 years I?ve used it on just about every trip (approximately 120-150 nights) and hardly shows any sign of wear (must be from it?s military roots). It?s seen 115 degree days in the Moab desert to a blizzard with winds that seemed to be gusting up to 60mph & temperature of negative 15 with 4 feet of snow during a late season hunting trip in the Colorado Rockies.
Pros ? too many to mention this is my favorite tent.
Cons ? About 5 pounds heavier than most back backing tent (but more reliable & durable), as with all tents I?ve owned over the last 25 years I?ve had to replace the stakes and tie downs, I Wish they had an option for an hunter orange rain fly. It can be hot in the summer, if you don?t experiment with the vestibule openings to get decent ventilation.

Although not technically a four season tent, it performs well is windy, sub zero temps.
