When I am not backpacking, I enjoy car camping. I bought this particular one because it is roomy. I also like the two door and built-in vestibule features.

We purchased 5 of these tents as replacements for some of our older tents that have become worn out with our Boy Scout troop. We received them in 3 days, which was unexpected so we used them on our camping trip that weekend. They are easy to set up, lightweight, and they kept out the rain. The boys were comfortable in them with plenty of room to move around. We will be ordering more to replenish the entire tent stock for our troop. Very good deal and unbelievable free shipping.

I don't think so. It's a great tent, but it has fiberglass poles. Look at Eureka's Midori or Taron models to see if they have aluminum.

yes it does, great tent! I'm very happy with it, very portable. I use it for my kayak trips. The floor is the same cloth-like material (which I assume is why its able to pack so tightly) so I put a cheap tarp underneath for added protection.

It comes with a rain fly. Just forewarning I have been in heavy rain storms where rain has leaked thru the tent and dripped inside. You may want to buy seam sealer for the seams on the tent and the rain fly. For light rains you should be fine though.

Yes it has a rain fly that extends out to create small covered "vestibule" space on both sides. Not a 4 season tent/sever weather tent, and a little tight for 2 adults, but otherwise very good.

Yes, it has a rain fly, but the fly only partially covers the opening and the bottom of the tent. I just used it in the rain last weekend, and was slightly damp.

Yes, mine came with a fly. The fly is adequate, and overall I love the tent, but the fly on the Apex 3 is much better due to the vestibule design. Still, for the money, the Apex 2 is hard to beat.
