No-Brainer Purchase

I purchased a high-end tent in this Timberline Outfitter as I was tired of replacing cheap tents every couple of years and was dissatisfied with chep tent performance. The footprint not only protected the tent floor, but also made taking down the tent easier as we had a clean / dry surface that we could use to fold the tent. Nice fit

This footprint in combination with just the fly makes a lightweight combination when there are no mosquitoes and good weather.

Eureka Footprint for Timberline SQ 4XT / Outfitter 4The Eureka Footprint for Timberline SQ 4XT / Outfitter 4 is a very important addition to Timberline SQ 2XT. This footprint protects the tent floor from damage by rocks or roots, which may harm the tent when not taken care of. When used as a footprint, it protects the tent floor from punctures, wear and tear. The footprint is constructed of the same material as that of tent floor. It features webbing stake out loops, grommets, and half of the required side release buckle (the tent has the other half). The advantage of using the footprint is that is keeps the bottom clean for packing so you may easily pack your tent back when leaving your camp site. It can also be pitched alone with the tent fly and poles, it creates a lightweight and compact shelter and reduces carry weight by more than 25%. Thus, the footprint plays a dual role. The footprint is made up of 75D 190T polyester taffeta, 1000 mm coated which does not allow it to be easily damaged. The footprint has been pre-sized to fit the shape of you tent. Kenneth K  What are the dimensions of the Timberline® SQ 4XT / Timberline® SQ Outfitter 4 Lite-Set Footprint?
JOHN M  The footprint is matched perfectly in size and well worth the money. I often will run the footprint through the washing washing, gentle cycle, small amount of very mild detergent. Then I hang it dry in a clothes line, spray seal it on both sides especially along the seams and it works like a charm. Light durable, and dies a fine job of protecting the floor of the tent. Do go without it.
WILLIAM H  I do not know the dimensions but it is the same as the floor of the tent.
STEVE M  My tent and footprint are stored away at this time, but the fit is perfect. I'm sure you could find the dimensions online. Always protect the floor of any tent and having the ground cloth inside the drip line is very important . I'm very happy with the footprint.
Shopper  Is it fit for Assault Outfitter 4 tent? The size of this footprint looks like smaller than that of Assault Outfitter 4. How is it?
WILLIAM H  We buy the footprint for the Timberline Series and it fits perfectly. This is a standard issue Boy Scout Tent.
KEVIN J  The footprint is exact same size as bottom of tent, no smaller. All of the pole ends that normally fit through the holes of the bottom of the tent will go through the bottom of the tent and the footprint if you have them (footprint and tent) altogether set up. I hope this answers your question. I think it was a good buy and could potential save you lots of $$$.
STEVE M  This probably won't help because I]m not familiar with the Assault Outfitter. After wearing out a couple of the timberline 4 man tents I got the SQ 4xt (superior in many ways). The footprint fits perfectly. The sizes are shown online for that tent. Good Luck!

EDWARD F  This appears different that mine, if I remember correctly it should be approximately 8' X 7'. It layes directly under the tent. I don't have Vestibule for mine so it's more of a square.
JAMES W  I ordered and received the correct ground cloth. The picture is wrong and I made them aware it. I'm surprised they haven't changed it - it's been almost a year. Hope this helps - Jim

MICHAEL M  Although that does not look like the footprint I purchased for my Timberline 4 it does have the same SKU. The one I purchased was: SKU: ERKFPTL4 Eureka Footprint for Timberline 4 SQ / Outfitter 4 So I am assuming this is an updated item.
GREGG L  That particular image does not depict the correct footprint. The actual footprint is rectangular, and matches the tent floor dimensions. The corners match and the tent poles fit through both the tent floor and footprint grommets.
GARY F  I recently purchased this footprint for our scout troop's Timberline SQ4 Outfitter tents. I, too was a little concerned if it would be the right one, based on the picture. However, it was the correct rectangular footprint for the tent listed.
