DAVID H I wear a size 9 boot, ordered a size 9 Wind River and the length was fine. Also, all my boots have been a normal medium width. I returned them because they were very narrow. I could tell as soon as I took them out of the box that they would be too narrow. Even my wife said they looked like a women's width boot. I wore them around the house for a day and had to send them back. Sunny Sport will only cover the return shipping if you buy the same boot. Ordering a size up of the Wind River would not have helped the width issue.

JEFF G These shoes are true to size.I wear a size 10 in all my shoes.I bought these in a size 10 and wear mid to heavy weight hiking socks with them and they still fit well.They sell these at EMS.If you have a store close by you can go and try them on 1st to see for yourself. hope this helps.

CINDI N I ended up with a half size bigger than normal. Very comfortable once you get the size right

JEFFREY B I bought the same size I typically wear in tennis shoes. I haven't completely broken the boots in, but I probably could have gone a half size up, especially for thicker socks. When I wear average or thin socks, they are true to size. With thick socks, however, I think that half size up would be really helpful...but I don't foresee wearing thick socks terribly often. As a side note, I have pretty wide feet at the mid-foot and toe areas, my boots feel a little snug, but I would rather have that than feel like I'm wearing boats, not boots.
