Shopper will these fit on a 20 lb toddler?
SHIRLEY L I have six puddle jumpers and love them. My grandchildren range in age from 8 - 21 months. They all wear them and love them. We have had other kids visit our pool and they wear and love them also. They aren't as restricting as a life vest the kids can move around the pool freely.
KATHRYN L I bought this thinking it WOULD fit my 20 pound granddaughter, but it didn't . it looks pretty true to size and it does say 30 pounds. She is now 23 pounds and it is still much too large. When it does fit, it will be good! It looks well made and since it is coast guard approved, I believe it will be a nice supervised learn to swim tool. I am anxious to have it on her and in action. Maybe next year.
MELVIN C I have three of these (so far) for my children who weigh between 35 and 45lbs. We have used them both in the pool and at the beach. I would think that a 20 lb might slip to easily out of the "arms" and the chest strap (although adjustable) might not be a tight enough fit.... The child really needs to have the ability to turn themselves easily in the water to an upright position as well, and I found that didn't really happen until around 2 1/2 years. I really LOVE this product and I am waiting until my youngest is closer to 30 lbs so I can buy one for him. Hope this helps...you may want to buy it and have it ready for that summer growth spurt!
DEBBIE F I bought these for my twin boys when they were between 20-15 pounds. We were able to use these with no problem. I had to tighten them as much as they would adjust and just to be completely safe I stayed nearby in the pool with them. We've used them for 2 summers and I love them. These allow my boys to stay in a swimming position, not on their back like a lot of the life vests. My boys are now trying to swim without them and it is easy to get them off and on while they practice.
KIM P Yes it should fit! I have used these for both of my younger boys! The best life jacket I have ever used! They never complain about wearing them! This is a must buy item! Enjoy!
SARA S It should, and you can tighten the back too. My girls are really small and they were great for them.
DIANA S My son started wearing it at 18 months. Not sure how much he weighed, but he is average size. These are so cool. Best floating devices for kids.
