The burner is amazing. It glows as opposed to having a torch/flame. The pot sits on the burner perfectly and won't tip over easy like other burners. The pot has a double layer at the bottom to prevent the wind from blowing out the flame and it leads the heat up the side of the pot for efficient and faster boiling.

Used this stove in the Smokies November '08 in 12 inches of snow and there was no problem. 1 ltr of water boiled in at 3 minutes as stated! You do need to sleep with your gas canister in your sleeping bag if planning on using it in the am in exteme conditions. During cold months this is my primary choice, there is no substitute.
