SHERI W A sleeping bag will fit if it is packed in a compression bag. You can also attach externally at the bottom of the backpack.

I used this pack when I went back country packing in Yosemite with two other friends for a week and I had plenty of room. I never put my sleeping bag inside of it without a stuff sack so I can't say for sure whether you'd be able to comfortably fit all your supplies, but I'm sure there's a way.

JEFFREY S I put my sleeping bag in the bottom compartment. It was designed for a bag. A suff sack is recommended. So you can compress the bag before you put it in and keep it separate from other equipment.
KATIE W It does accommodate a sleeping bag (fairly heavyweight one), but I did use a stuff sack.
PAUL B It is a pretty big pack. Using a stuff sack would definitely be necessary if you carry a lot of gear,which we did, or are going for more than 2-3 nights. As an alternative you could also line the bag with a trash compactor bag and then just push the bag in by itself and compress it down with everything else. That method works better if you have a down bag that compresses well. My wife and I distributed out the cooking gear and tent so that gave us extra room you might not have. There is a large amount of extra room in the side pockets and top cover for water filters, 10 essentials, snacks, camera's, binoculars, etc. In short there is plenty of room for a sleeping bag and the rest of your typical backpacking gear but you will probably want to compress the bag one way or the other to maximize available storage space. It Is a bomb proof and comfortable riding pack just a bit on the heavy side. Hope this helps.
STEVEN S If you intend to put it length wise along the bottom you will need a compression sack. The bag I bought for my gf came with one. Otherwise it will take up more space. I give it a A+
VANESSA J I have had this bag for a couple of years. I love it! It does hold a sleeping bag. I usually have it in a stuff sack to save space, but if you don't have a bunch to pack you wouldn't have to use one. I've also put my sleeping bag in a stuff sack and attached it to the outside of the pack. Great bag! I've taken it in slot canyons hunting trips and still can't wreck it. I definately recommend it :)
