We put this tent thru the ringer. It was lived in for two months in the dead of winter in British Columbia. Withstood two feet of snow on the roof and didn't collapse! However if you expect any tent to withstand any type of wet weather without properly using the guy lines and tarping off both under the tent and above you are sadly mistaken! Being from British Columbia and having spent most of my time in and around the Bush I can tell you that this tent is awesome I mean two months of constant... use near two months of rain/ snow with not a single issue. But you have to tarp it off!
Pros: I shopped for a while for a tent and am very glad I chose this one. It does seem to take 2 people to set up but the set up is FAST and EASY. The first time used was over 10K ft in the mountains of Colorado, it rained, wind was soaring and snowed the next day. The tent held up suprisingly in the heavy winds and kept dry as a bone! There was no condensation and that is my biggest thing about tents...hate condensation. The door on the tent is extremely awesome as well. No zip and unzipping... constantly for it has an option of zipping or velcro that holds it closed...even in high wind.
Cons: It comes in a 6-person but really it is a 4-person comfortable sleeping tent. It does need a few modifications. The screen closure door that leads into the sleeping area is not secure at the bottom. I am simply going to affix a few strips of velcro to keep it closed. Also it would have been nice to have screen covers for the screened walls. I am actually going to make my own with an old tent and velcro them to fit nicely. With heavy duty velcro instead of sewing, you can cover over the screens or not. It can also then be used as an additional sleeping and private room...there is no floor in the screened room but a larger tarp footprint can be extended there for the floor.
I am very picky about the stuff I buy and try to get my money's worth...this tent is worth the money and does not leak at all. I decided to seal the seams anyway but it held up without the sealant.

How much ground in front of the door is protected from rain? We want to be able to have a dry, covered vestibule area for removing wet boots/clothes before entering the tent. Is there a separate entry for the screened porch from the outside or does the screened porch have to be accessed by going through the tent? Thank you.

By the side door you only have about 12". You can go into the screen room to change. That should be dry

the floor is one part with the tent or seperate and it is all over the tent or middile part only ? thanks

The floor is part of the tent and actually is up the wall about 6-8". There is no floor in the screened area. This tent has been very good and stays dry. I really like the door.
