This tent is our home away from home. We have 4 children and a dog, and our setup includes 2 Coleman double-size cots on either side and a camp kitchen table in between to serve as our vanity/catch-all. We've camped from Joshua Tree to Big Sur, to Yosemite, in rain and shine. We LOVE the hinged doors, the screens, the windows, and best of all -- the ability to sleep under the stars with the rainfly off.
Rain every day

Took this tent to the mountains where it rained every day and once all night plus a hail storm and the only time it leaked was when it was being pummeled by hail. The rest of our week was soggy on the outside but dry in the tent.

Is this tent a good cold weather tent? Would it be good for deer hunting?
CAROL K
This tent provides great space for adults to move around in, the hinged door is one of the best things about this tent: easy in and out, no zipper fumbling. So, yes, I think you'd be happy using this this tent for deer hunting.

No. Best to stay home.

No good at all for cold weather or wet weather. I sealed the seams and water proof it with special spray and water still leaked in.

I've never camped in this tent in the winter but I would say it would be ok in a mild climate. I would not attempt to use it in extreme cold as it is not insulated and probably not designed for those conditions. It does however work great in the spring and summer here in Eastern Washington.

I'm not sure how well this tent would do in the cold. It's very nice and I definitely recommend it... But it's just thin nylon walls like almost all tents.
SARAH K
I would not recommend it for cold weather camping. It is too big to keep the warmth in. A small tent would be better.

I have used this tent from sun to snow and it works great. I use cots for sleeping and put a large tarp on the ground for floor preservation and insulation.
