Great Tent

By Rolph

This is a fantastic tent, especially for the money. I have taken it to the Adirondacks on about 5 different occasions. The weather can be brutal. On our last trip we had 3 days of soaking rain. Not a drop of water made it into the tent. We didn't even use a tarp. Storage is great. The vestibule is HUGE. It fits 2 adults or 1 adult and 2 kids. I just wish it wasn't orange. It gets awfully bright inside once the sun is up. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Tough Tent

By BeccaEAA

I use this tent for Airventure every year. I got it because of the large rain fly and I have not gotten wet once while using it; and there is always at least one big storm during Airventure! There are so many places to stake this tent down it won’t go anywhere in the wind. The dome style makes it flexible too so I find it’s less likely to break in the wind. The vestibule is handy for storing boots and camp chairs—or even an extra buddy, which leaves more space in the actual tent for beds an...

Questions & Answers

Questions about this item:

David D  how much does this tent weigh?
DIANA K  This tent weighs 12.6 lbs.
Shopper  Can this tent fit a cot?
JAMES W  It should. We put 2 twin size blow up mattresses and it filled it up completely. Your head room may be limited. Hope this helps
ADAM J  We mostly use a queen air mattress but a cot will fit.
DARRELL W  It would probably be tight lengthwise but it's a good tent. The fly offers great protection. Air mattress would probably be better due to the slope of the walls.
HAROLD W H  Yes. For sure.
DARRELL J  I've only had a sleeping bag in the tent but a cot should fit
STEVE B  Yes, I use two cots at the same time with enough space in between.
WILLIAM B  yes it will, but you would need to put it in the tent before putting on the rainfly,
DARREN T  Yes. I have the Outfitter XXL cot and it fits, but barely. I have to set the cot up outside the tent and then wedge it into the tent.
Shopper  whats the most extreme temperature this tent can be used in where it can still perform?
RANDALL A  This tent is really a 3 season tent but I have winter camped in it, I think to about 10deg. The material is more ridgit at that temp and you wont get the bottom pan folded back up and in its bag.
JAMES B  This is a very good 3 season tent, and its seasons can be stretched to include the colder weather. Very spacious including the vestibule, but too big for two.
ANNA P  I'm not sure about extremes. I use the tent in Tennessee. I have used it in the middle of summer (90-100 degrees) and in winter weather (20 degrees probably). We use a Coleman ceiling fan in summer. It's bearable, still uncomfortably hot, but we did have the fly on. In the winter, we put an oil heater in the alcove area with the fly zipped shut and the tent was wonderfully warm. It did rain in the summer, and we stayed perfectly dry! Sorry I can't give more specifics.
WILLIAM B  We are located in louisiana and we use this tent in the cooler months and it does what it is designed to do which is keep you dry. I have be honest and state that we do not use this tent during the summer with the rainfly on it as the heat and humidity makes it uncomfortable.
JOHN P  I used it in a 2ft snowstorm with temperatures down to 15 deg. F or so. Lots of netting for a cold weather tent, this one is better for warmer conditions. Does well in the rain.
TRAVIS M  It has thin fiberglass poles. This is a three season tent. I would not use it in freezing conditions. We have used it to high 50s
RJ M  I used this tent back in november in a blizzard for 2 days. The averaged nighttime temperature was 15 degrees. The rainfly extends all the way to the ground so i closed the bottom vents and everytime we shook the snow off the tent it created a seal between the rainfly and ground. So at night (due to body heat and zero ventalation) i was sleeping with a tshirt in 15 degree weather. This tent performed great. Just the enterance on the rainfly is low, thats the only drawback
JOSEPH H  I used this tent in February this year at a Boy Scout Klondike Derby event. The temperature at night for that weekend was 15 degrees - 20 degrees. It worked out pretty good.
MERCEDES B  The most extreme temperature I used it was 20F. We had a pretty good night, it was in Bryce Canyon (UT), with snow around, but on the roof was formed condensation of the respiration of the people who were in the tent. Any way, I love this tent, it very roomy and has the entrance to live bags or utensils. I bought it twice, and I would buy it again!
HAROLD W H  I've used the tent in slightly below freezing overnight temperatures, and it worked well. It's advertised as a three-season tent. Overnights in the 20's with daytimes above freezing you're probably good. If you're looking for real cold weather camping, you'll have to shell out the bucks for a 4-season tent. They're heavier, and much more expensive.
