Comments about Coleman Evanston 6 Tent:
Bought this for the kids for summer backyard camping. Had it up for a large part of the summer with no problems. Held up in rain and only needed slight adjustments. Second year it was out during a week of bad weather and it collapsed. Not good for strong winds but great for most normal camping conditions. Not easy to set up at first but after the first time it was quite easy. Needs 2 people for easy set up. Room for queen size air bed & twin mattress or chairs. The door is the best part. Easy in and out and easy to keep bugs out because the door doesn't get left unzipped.

Fits Queen air bed inside with room to spare. The rain fly works great. First night using tent there was a lot of rain. No leaks.

I purchased this tent because of the hinged door. I absolutely love the door. It has velcro tabs that hold it closed without zipping it. If you are camping with kids, you will love not having to un-snag the door zipper every time they go in and out of the tent. Three trips so far with no problems. Two storms and no leaks. No way it is an eight person tent. Four with gear comfortably. Six without gear, not so comfortably. I originally ordered the evanston 6, only to find that it does not have the hinged door. I sent it back to Sunny sports and they gave me a prompt refund. Thanks Sunny.

Not recommended for any windy location!

This tent was the right size and shape for our needs. Liked the concept of the rain fly/vestibule for shade. The rain fly backfires on this tent. It becomes a sail in the wind and the tent deforms so badly the poles won't stay in the pegs. The rear rain fly pole ripped out the metal grommets. Not recommended for anything but the mildest weather
