I bought this pack for my husband, as we often do day hikes and he likes to carry all our "stuff" (what a gentleman...I know) and he really needed a hydration pack that would hold almost a gallon of water. This was the perfect combination. He'll be using it soon for a trip to Katahdin, as well as rifle hunting this fall.

This is a great pack, it fits everything that I need for a full days hunt and keeps everything organized. The adjustability of the shoulder, waist, and chest straps make this a very comfortable back pack. The outside pocket to stuff extra layers is a huge plus and I was amazed at how much stuff I could actually fit into this bag. At first glance if not filled to capacity this bag looks like it will be cumbersome and sloppy however there are several cinch strap that will tighten and streamline the pack. The hydration bladder is large enough to provide water all day and the back is padded enough so you wont even know it is there (except for the weight). The hydration tube is insulated to prevent freezing, it did freeze up on one of the coldest days but is easily prevented by drinking often. My only gripe with this pack is the binocular pocket: it is located behind one of the cinch straps making difficult to put in and remove your glasses. Other than that I am totally satisfied
