JERRY H These are very well made and Yes they hold up extreemly well. I bought 3 and have used them extensively. The height only needs to be 4 to 5 inches above the charcoal; so I bent the legs outward about 3 inches from the bottom, and I found it not only stabilizes the grill better, but also cooks much better. I also made a couple of mini grills out of loaf pans by adding 4 brass cabinet door pulls for feet, drilled holes in the sides for air flow, and used the Coughlan grill with the legs removed for the grill grate. I also use a second loaf pan for the top cover. It is a personal camping grill and it works great. The pack grill grate fits perfectly on the loaf pan. One of the laof pan grills stays with my camping gear and the other I use 3 to 4 times a week for for steaks, chicken and skewered shrimp on the patio table here at home. After a 100 + uses the Coughlans grill grate still looks new. The loaf pan however looks well used. The pack grill works well and is inexpensive. Hope this helps.

AMY R Yes, great little grill. I've used it backpacking for about three years now...lightweight and fits easily in my pack. If using it for backpacking I recommend keeping it in the plastic case it comes in as it gets dirty, as any grill would. Hope you enjoy it.

AMY G So far so good. Just don't get it too close to the fire. Will discolor. Its pretty small which is great. I can just wrap it in a shirt and pack it or strap it on the outside of my pack. Has gotten a little dinged but its holding up after a few uses.

DANIEL C I haven't used it as much as I intended to when I bought it, but after half a dozen uses, it's still stable and solid. I bent a few of the crossbars by accident but the legs are square and it sits level. Slightly burnt and dirty, but usable.
