PON S I tried checking. no clue. if there s a difference I can check for it.

MARY D I can"t tell the color in this picture. I purchased the contour elliptic shock compact poles last year and i have been extremely happy with them. Mine are silver and blue. Recently used them to hike the inca trail to machu picchu and they were perfect for all those ups and downs. Collapsed them and slid them into a cardboard tube and they fit in my luggage for the airplane ride ! i highly recommend !
RICHARD S The picture of the poles are a bit small, but, they appear to be similar to the one's I purchased for my wife and I. If the locking mechanisms are flicklocks that is what you want regardless of the pole brand. Our poles, which we purchased in 2010 also have a multi layered rubber type shock absorber built in below the grip to minimize impact on the arms--you probably want that as well. We used these to walk all over the English countryside this past spring and are going to use them to tour in Europe very shortly--we don't leave home without them. Rick
